Classic Arts News Career Transition for Dancers Stages Annual Benefit Career Transition for Dancers, an organization that helps former dancers establish new careers, presents "Dancing on Air: A Dance Tribute to Television," its tenth annual benefit, tonight at New York's City Center.
The event will include appearances by Arthur Mitchell, Edward Villella, and dancers from the American Ballet Theatre, Dancer Theatre of Harlem, Joffrey Ballet, and Miami City Ballet, as well as Broadway stars including Chita Rivera and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

The show is produced by Ann Marie DeAngelo with musical direction by Robert Mikulski. Choreographer Debbie Allen will receive the Rolex Dance Award, and Patricia Kennedy, a former board member of the Joffrey Ballet, will be honored with the Career Transitions for Dancers Award.

The 7 p.m. performance is followed by a black-tie dinner at the Sheraton New York Imperial Ballroom.
