News Carey Mulligan Will Star Opposite Oscar Isaac in Coen Brothers Film, "Inside Llewyn Davis" Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan will star opposite stage and screen actor Oscar Isaac in the upcoming Coen Brothers' film "Inside Llewyn Davis," according to Variety.

Joel and Ethan Coen are writing, directing and producing "Inside Llewyn Davis," which follows a musician who tries to make it in New York's music scene in the 1960s. Scott Rudin co-produces. Robert Graf is executive producer.

Mulligan is also in negotiations for a lead role in an untitled Spike Jonze project about world leaders uniting to discuss cataclysmic events. Joaquin Phoenix is currently attached to star in the film penned by Charlie Kaufman.

Mulligan has been seen on Broadway in The Seagull. The performer was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in "An Education." Isaac, who currently stars in Manhattan Theatre Club's We Live Here, has also been seen in MTC's Beauty of the Father.
