Carnival Knowledge, Rob Faust's new dance theatre piece, opens March 2 at the Bat Theatre Company's Flea Theatre, the Off Off-Broadway space which has become home to increasingly eclectic offerings, from Karen Finley to Mac Wellman to the souped-up Kabuki of Benton Kozo. Performances run there Feb. 23 March 26. Carnival Knowledge -- presented by Lewis Allen, Sonny Everett, Faustwork and The Bat Theater Company -- is described as a "journey through numerous colorful characters." Rob Faust and Paola Styron, the show's creators, will enact each piece, including a Fred Astaire tribute of sorts and Faust's autobiography of his childhood. Dance and masks will be employed in the storytelling. The production is supervised by Jay Presson Allen.

Tickets are $35. The Flea Theatre is located at 42 White Street in Tribeca. For more information, call (212) 532-8887, or consult the website at www.offbway.com.
