Bowman (Kinky Boots) flies into the role of Elphaba, and Lindsay, recently seen as Glinda in the musical's national tour, reprises her performance.
Also joining the cast Dec. 16 are Kathy Fitzgerald, who returns to the company as Madame Morrible, a role she has played on Broadway and on national tour; Matt Shingledecker (West Side Story), who returns to the role of Fiyero (after playing opposite Lindsay on tour); and two-time Tony Award nominee Robin De Jesus (In the Heights, La Cage Aux Folles) in the role of Boq.
They join a cast that includes Tom McGowan as The Wizard, Kelli Barrett as Nessarose and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.
The roles of Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, Madame Morrible and Boq were previously being played by Christine Dwyer, Jenni Barber, Michael McCorry Rose, Mary Testa and Michael Wartella, respectively.
Currently the 11th longest-running musical in Broadway history, Wicked celebrated its 11th anniversary Oct. 30.
