Marin Shakespeare Company presents Don Nigro's version of the classic tale of Robin Hood as part of its eighth summer season, running July 31-September 7.

Robin Hood is the story of that timeless rebel, who steals from the rich to give to the poor, and manages to win Maid Marian's heart in the process.

First performed by the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in 1984, Nigro's version was created especially for outdoor presentation. MSC's production will be held in the Forest Meadows Amphitheatre on the campus of Dominican College in San Rafael, and will be preceded by traditional Elizabethan entertainment.

Robin Hood, featuring Marvin Greene in the title role, Jessa Brie Berkner as Maid Marian, Patrick Flick as Friar Tuck, and Lewis Sims as Prince John, will be directed by award-winning director Cliff Mayotte, Artistic Director of CA's Rough and Tumble Theatre Company.

MSC, the North Bay Area's only professional Shakespeare Company, will also be performing The Taming of the Shrew in rotating rep with Robin Hood. For tickets or more information, call (415) 456-8104.
