News Cast and Dates Set for World Premiere of The Architecture of Loss at NYTW The world premiere of Julia Cho's The Architecture of Loss at Off-Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop has announced its cast and dates.

The new work, to be directed by Chay Yew, will start at the company's 4th Street Theatre Dec. 19 and open Jan. 11, 2004.

Victor Slezak (The Graduate, Jackie) is featured in a cast among Angel Desai (The Winter's Tale), Mia Katigbak (Dogeaters), Jason Lew, Will Marchetti (Fool for Love), Matthew Saldivar (The Alchemist) and Eric Wippo.

The Architecture of Loss finds a man returning to the family he fled ten years earlier to find his son went missing in his absence. The man, his wife and daughter attempt to relive the events that led to the disappearance.

The design team includes Riccardo Hernandez (set), Linda Cho (costume), M.L. Geiger (lighting) and Jill B.C. Du Boff (sound).

The rest of the 2003-2004 season (subject to change) at NYTW includes the currently running Doug Hughes staging of Amy Freed's The Beard of Avon (through Dec. 21), Paul Rudnick's Valhalla directed by Christopher Ashley (beginning Jan. 16, 2004) and Kia Corthron's Light Raise the Roof directed by Michael John Garcés (beginning April 2004). Rob Schwimmer and Mark Stewart's Polygraph Lounge directed by Marshall Brickman, Mark Crispin Miller's Are You With Me? (working title) directed by Gregory Keller and at least one more production will also play — dates to be announced.
