News Cast Announced for Hero, New Play at London's Royal Court The cast has been announced for the premiere of E.V Crow's Hero, beginning performances at London's Royal Court in the Jerwood Theatre Upstaris Nov. 23, prior to an official opening Nov. 29.

Jeremy Herrin will direct a cast that features Liam Garrigan, Daniel Mays, Tim Steed and Susannah Wise.

In the play, Danny (Garrigan) is gay and a primary school teacher who is not afraid of anything. His colleague Jamie (Mays) is straight, and thinks he should be.

Garrigan has previously appeared in Honeymoon Suite at the Royal Court. Other stage credits include Moonlight (Donmar Warehouse) and The Anniversary (West End).

Mays has previously appeared at the Royal Court in Scarborough, Motortown, The Winterling, Ladybird, Just a Bloke and The One with the Oven. He was also in Moonlight at the Donmar Warehouse. Screen credits include "Mrs. Biggs," "The Street" and "Ashes to Ashes."
