PlayBlog Cast of Memphis Rehearses for the 2011 Tony Awards (Video) At the 65th annual Tony Awards June 12 at the Beacon Theatre, the cast of Tony Award-winning musical Memphis was invited to return for a special performance. Here, the cast gives an inside look into their rehearsal prior to performing on the Tonys for the second year in a row.

Cast members from the production of Memphis were joined by children from New York public schools who went to see the musical back in February. The special performance was made possible by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Audemars Piguet North America. For many of the children who currently live in under-served communities, the show marked their first time at a Broadway musical. After the show, the students danced in the aisles to "Steal Your Rock & Roll."

At the 2011 Tony Awards, the children danced in the aisles yet again and showed their love for the arts in a performance of "Steal Your Rock & Roll" with the current cast of the Broadway musical.
