News Cast Recording of Fun Home Reclaims No. 1 Spot on Billboard Chart The Tony Awards appear to be boosting sales of newly released cast albums of the winning shows. The original Broadway cast recording of the musical Fun Home reclaimed the top spot on Billboard magazine's top-selling cast albums chart in the first full week of sales following the Tonys, at which the show won five awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.

Fun Home spokespersons reported that the PS Classics release doubled the previous weeks’ figures, selling more than 5,000 units during the week ending June 14. The digital recording attained the top ten in overall music at both Amazon and iTunes, peaking at No. 5 in Overall Music at Amazon and No. 6 in Overall Music at iTunes.

Pushing up to No. 2 on Billboard's Top Cast Albums chart was the new cast album of The King and I, which won Tonys including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Kelli O'Hara.

The previous week's top-seller, Something Rotten!, moved down to No. 3. It took home a single Tony, Best Performance by a Featured Actor for Christian Borle.
