The musical currently plays Off-Broadway's 9th Space Theater at P.S. 122; the production celebrates its 100th performance there Dec. 6.

* David Garrison, a Tony nominee for A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, plays Hannibal Lecter, the role created by Brent Barrett this past summer at Theatre 80. Directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, the cast is also headed by Jenn Harris, who starred in the recent Off-Broadway run. Also returning are Stephen Bienskie as the notorious Buffalo Bill, Lucia Spina as Catherine Martin and Deidre Goodwin as Ardelia Mapp. The rest of the cast includes Callan Bergmann, Pamela Bob, Harry Bouvy, Ashlee Dupré, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio and Doug Trapp.

Victoria Lang, Rich Affannato and Donna Trinkoff produce.

Director-choreographer Gattelli said in a recent statement, "We've had the incredible opportunity at Theater 80 to try things we've always wanted to, and given our three-month run were able to really take the time to see what the audience responded to. So in an effort to continue to make the show the best it can be, the authors and I have trimmed some musical numbers and scenes as well as eliminated the intermission which should make it the non-stop riotous roller-coaster ride we intended six years ago."

Silence! The Musical features a book by Tony nominee Hunter Bell and music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan.

In the Academy Award-winning film "The Silence of the Lambs," press notes state, "rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to catch the serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice must face her own demons and race the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Bill. It’s a hair-raising thriller that’s kept countless millions on the edges of their seats and permeated the pop lexicon with delightfully creepy quotes like 'I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti' and, of course 'It places the lotion in the basket.' And now, at last, this delicate symphony of suspense has been turned on its ear and retold in the only way it can be — as a musical. A singing chorus of floppy eared lambs narrates the action; Buffalo Bill gleefully dances a hoedown while kidnapping hapless Catherine Martin; and even Dr. Lecter, scary as ever, sings about the life he’d like to lead someday outside the prison walls."

The production also features set design by three-time Tony winner Scott Pask with costume design by David Kaley, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by Carl Casella.

Tickets, priced $25-$79, are available by phoning (212) 352-3101 or by visiting SilenceTheMusical.com. P.S. 122 is located at 150 First Avenue.
