The cast has been selected for August Wilson's latest play King Hedley II, which opens Sept. 14 at the Mark Taper Forum for a five-week run. Marion McClinton, who directed Wilson's Jitney, which played to packed houses at the Taper last season and is presently running Off-Broadway, is the director. The cast includes (in alphabetic order): Charles Brown, Jerome Butler, Art Evans, Juanita Jennings, Harry Lennix, Monte Russell and Mone Walton. Set design is by David Gallo, costumes by Toni-Leslie James, lighting by Donald Holder and sound design by Rob Milburn. The PSM is Tami Toon.

King Hedley II is set in 1985 in the black ghetto of Pittsburgh and deals with the triumphs and trials of a community facing issues of family, unemployment and crime.
