News Castillo and Possee Are john & jen at the Beechman Nov. 29 Jonathan Castillo and Lauren Possee, who were both featured in the national tour of Stephen Schwartz's Captain Louie, star in Andrew Lippa's john & jen at the Laurie Beechman Theatre Nov. 29 and Dec. 1.

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International and James William Productions, the two-person musical that debuted at the Lamb's Theatre in 1995 will play the Beechman at 7 PM both nights. Laura Hofmeister directs with musical direction by Ray Fellman. With music and book by Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party) and lyrics and book by Tom Greenwald, john & jen, according to press notes, "looks at the complexities of relationships between brothers and sisters and parents and children, set against the background of a changing America between 1950 and 1990. It is the story of Jen and her relationships with the two John's of her life: her younger brother, who was killed in Vietnam, and his namesake, her son who is trying to find his way in a confusing world."

Gabriel Barre directed the original Off-Broadway production. The cast featured Carolee Carmello and James Ludwig; Michele Pawk succeeded Carmello in the role of Jen.
