News Casting Announced for Gay Bride of Frankenstein at NYMF Spring Awakening's Emma Hunton and Avenue Q's Darryl Winslow will star in the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of Gay Bride of Frankenstein.

Stephen Nachamie directs the musical that has a book by Dane E. Leeman and Billy Butler, with music and lyrics by Butler. Gay Bride runs Sept. 28-Oct. 4 at TBG Theatre.

In addition to Hunton and Winslow, the cast features Jeremiah James (Carousel), Dana Aber, Christian D. White, Christopher Hudson Myers and Ashley Kate Adams.

The new musical is described as a "graphic novel [that] comes alive on stage when high school friends Edna, Chloe, Hairy and Thad stumble into a night of rock music that can raise the dead! Will the girl get the girl? Never has there been a Halloween love story like this with mystery, magic and a Scooby Doo twist that will scare you silly."

Adrienne Maitland choreographs the production that has musical direction by Billy Butler, and features designs from comic book artist Dan Drew, animation consultant Leon Joosen, costume designer Amanda Bujak, lighting designer Matt Guminski and production designer Dane E. Leeman.
