The new musical features a score by Tony Award nominee Elizabeth Swados, book and lyrics by Rebecca Keren and book by Daniella Rabbani. Leah Bonvissuto will direct the performance with musical direction by Kris Kukul. Moishe Rosenfeld produces.
The cast of the 80-minute staged concert will include Rabbani as Rachel, Keren as Leah, Christ Critelli as Jacob and Sorab Wadia as Lavan.
"In ancient Iraq," press notes state, "Lavan’s inseparable twin daughters are two sides of the same coin: Leah, the reclusive and introverted caretaker and Rachel, the adventurous sheppardess. Their relationship collapses when Jacob comes to work for their father. Both girls fall for the eligible bachelor, yet he only wants one to be his wife. After he is forced to marry both women, Rachel and Leah wage a desperate battle for his love and lineage."
