Pay As You Exit, according to press notes, "offers a provocative set of short plays that range from psychological drama to dark comedy. A mafia boss and his lackey exchange roles in a game of survival. A man books a session with a call girl and discovers they are linked by their pasts. A beleaguered wife finds the courage to tell her self-absorbed husband she's had enough. Two uncommon people bond through a magical encounter with the tarot. Three young New Yorkers examine the behavioral distortions caused by city living. A home game show craze forces players to embrace the irrational as it deconstructs the stakes. A hungry man grabs a snack at a local whole foods store and finds himself victimized by a security guard with her own ideas of how he should pay for it."
