News Casting Announced for World Premiere of ThanksKilling the Musical in Seattle Balagan Theatre will present the world premiere of ThanksKilling the Musical, adapted from the cult horror movie of the same name — about a possessed turkey on a deadly mission to avenge his tortured ancestors — beginning Nov. 29, prior to an official press opening Dec. 2, in the Cornish Playhouse Studio at Seattle Center.

ThanksKilling, which features music by Jeff Thomson and lyrics by Jordan Mann, was conceived in partnership with David Eck and is adapted from the film by Jordan Downey and Kevin Stewart.

Directed by Douglas Willott with choreography by Rainbow Fletcher, the cast includes Kody Bringman as Johnny the Jock, Larissa Schmitz as Kristen the Virgin, Evan Hildebrand as Darren the Nerd, Lindsey Larson as Ali the Slut, Evan Woltz as Billy the Hick, Brian Lange as Random Guy and Jeff Orton as Turkie.

Performances will continue through Dec. 14.

ThanksKilling, according to Balagan, "tells the hilarious (and often hilariously offensive) story of five college kids headed home for Thanksgiving break who cross paths with a homicidal turkey possessed by an ancient Indian curse. Horror and hilarity ensue as the teens…must stop the maniac bird before he kills them all."

Other members of the creative team include music director Kimberly Dare, lighting designer Ahren Buhmann, set designer Noel Barbuto, costume designer Chelsea Cook, sound designer Michael Connolly, production manager Danielle Franich and stage manager Cynthia Kelly.
