News Casting Complete for Attic's Staging of Charles Busch's Red Scare on Sunset Attic Studios and Attic Theatre Ensemble will present Charles Busch's comedic take on McCarthyism, Red Scare on Sunset, Sept. 12-Oct. 18 at The Attic Theatre & Film Center in Los Angeles.

Directed by Cindy Gendrich, the cast will feature Drew Droege as heroine Mary Dale with Amy Procacci, Chris Tarantino, Michelle Begley, Eric Jorgensen, Jan Munroe, Sona Tatoyan and Dane Whitlock.

"The year is 1951, Hollywood," read Red Scare on Sunset press notes. "America's sweetheart, Mary Dale, is about to discover that her husband, her best friend, her director and her houseboy are all mixed up in a communist plot to take over Tinseltown. First point of order? The abolishment of the star system – no more top billing!"

Robin Roy and Christine Stump are producing. Brian Shnipper is artistic director for the Attic Studios and Attic Theatre Ensemble.

Red Scare on Sunset was originally produced in 1991 by the WPA Theatre with a subsequent run Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
