News   Casting Complete for Reading of Becoming Tennessee Musical, Featuring Bryan Batt
 
The Directors Company in association with Dale Joan Young will present a staged reading of the new musical Becoming Tennessee March 2 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Directed by Michael Parva, the cast will include the previously reported Bryan Batt, Jerry Dixon, Harriet D. Foy and Brian Charles Rooney.

Newly announced for the reading are Derrick Cobey, Nicholas Galbraith, Douglas Lyons, Ereni Sevasti, Carly Street and Frank Vlastnik.

The new musical features book and lyrics by Michael Aman and music by Clint Edwards.   Steven Ray Watkins is the musical director.

Becoming Tennessee, according to press notes, is an "original new musical about the early life and career of Tennessee Williams as he faces his blue devils in New Orleans’ steamy French Quarter in 1939."
