News Casting Set for Glaudini's A View From 151st Street; DuBois Directs Bob Glaudini's A View From 151 Street will be presented by the LAByrinth Theater Company at the Public Theater beginning Oct. 5.

Directed by Peter DuBois, the production will officially open Oct. 18 and run through Nov. 4. The cast will include Gbenga Akinnagbe, Liza Colón-Zayas, Craig "mums" Grant, Juan Carlos Hernandez, Russell G. Jones, Marisa Malone, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Felix Solis. Michael Cain has composed original music for the production, which will feature musical direction by Paul J. Thompson. Andrew Emer will lead a band that includes musicians Nir Felder and Q.

In Glaudini's new play, press notes state, "cops, rappers, dealers, teachers, hustlers, husbands and wives dwell in the rhythms of rap, raw humor, aphasic staccato and live jazz."

The design team includes scenic designer David Korins, costume designer Mimi O'Donnell, lighting designer Japhy Weideman and sound designer Bart Fasbender. Show times are Tuesday and Sunday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM.
