The previously announced new production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has announced casting for both its premiere at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds and then a different cast for its subsequent U.K. tour.

At Leeds, where it will run Dec. 2-Jan. 30, 2016, with an official opening Dec. 10, it will feature Jon Robyns as Carcactacus Potts, Amy Griffiths as Truly Scrumptious, Stephen Matthews as the Childcatcher, Don Gallagher as Lord Scrumptious/Baron Bomburst and Tamsin Carroll as Baroness Bomburt.

It will then begin an extensive regional tour at Southampton's Mayflower Theatre Feb. 10, where Jason Manford will lead the cast as Caractacus Potts for tour dates through April 24, then return from Oct. 5. Lee Mead will play the role for dates between May 4 and Sept. 18.

Martin Kemp will play the Childcatcher. Amy Griffiths will play Truly Scrumptious, and Phill Jupitus will play Lord Scrumptious/Baron Bomburst, all through April 24.

The company will also feature Michelle Collins as Baroness Bomburst and Andy Hockley as Grandpa Potts. Ewen Cummins plays The Toymaker/Mr. Coggins, with Sam Harrison as Boris and Scott Paige as Goran, and Kathryn Barnes, Rosanna Bates, Alex Louize Bird, Abigail Climer, Jade Davies, Matt Gillett, Ewan Gillies, Joanna Goodwin, Nathan Vaughan Harris, Christopher D Hunt, Paul Iveson, Nia Jermin, Kelsie-Rae Marshall, Mollie Melia-Redgrave, Perry O'Dea, Matt Overfield, Ross Russell, Craig Turner and Robert Wilkes.

The production is directed by West Yorkshire Playhouse artistic director James Brining, with new choreography by Stephen Mear. There will be a live orchestra with musical supervision by Stephen Ridley. Set and costume design are by Simon Higlett, lighting design is by Tim Mitchell, sound design is by Ben Harrison and video design is by Simon Wainwright. It was originally brought to the stage in a different production at the London Palladium in 2002, where it ran for three-and-a-half years, and transferred to Broadway's Lyric Theatre (then called the Hilton) in 2005.
