Producing artistic director Ted Pappas, who recently directed the Greek classics Medea and Oedipus the King, directs the limited engagement that runs through Oct. 30. Opening night is Oct. 6.

Electra stars Catherine Eaton in the title role and features a cast that includes Michael Simpson as Orestes, David Bielewicz as Pylades, Lisa Harrow as Clytemnestra, David Whalen as Aegisthus, Catherine Gowl as Chrysothemis, Edward James Hyland, Glynis Bell, Shinnerrie Jackson and Amy Landis.

In the play, according to PPT notes, "Orestes, his friend Pylades, and his faithful servant secretly return to the palace of Mycenae. Years before, he had been sent into hiding after the murder of his father, King Agamemnon, by his mother Clytemnestra and her lover Aegisthus. Despite the passage of time, his sister, Electra, can’t get over their father's death. Their other sister, Chrysothemis, and the women of Mycenae tell her to pull herself together, but that's hard in the presence of her regal mother who proclaims her righteousness. Will fate give Electra her revenge?"

Other members of the creative team include scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Gabriel Berry, lighting designer Kirk Bookman, sound designer Zach Moore, production stage manager Ruth E. Kramer and assistant stage manager Fredric H. Orner.
