Cats Closes at London Palladium Tonight, But Returns in October | Playbill

News Cats Closes at London Palladium Tonight, But Returns in October Cats ends its current season at the London Palladium April 25, but as previously announced, it will return there for a further ten week season beginning Oct. 23, so it is only really a hiatus. When it first opened last December, it was initially only booking fora short season through Feb. 28.

The role of Grizabella is currently being played by Kerry Ellis, best known for playing Elphaba in both the West End (where she recently reprised the role) and on Broadway. Other theatre credits include The War of the Worlds Arena Tour, Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre, We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre and My Fair Lady at the National Theatre and in the West End. Between its current and next runs at the London Palladium, the show will play a summer season at Blackpool's Opera House with Jane McDonald as Grizabella. A revival is also being discussed for Broadway in 2016.
