The CBS news program interviewed understudies and standbys from such musicals as Rent, Hairspray, Wonderful Town, Aida and Avenue Q for the segment, which is titled "Broadway Bound." Produced by Jim McLaughlin, the segment will include interviews with Avenue Q's Barrett Foa and Aymee Garcia, Rent's Sebastian Arcellus, Wonderful Town's Nancy Anderson, Aida's Jessica Hendy and Hairspray's J. P. Dougherty and Joel Vig. Tracy Smith is the correspondent for "Broadway Bound." The feature also includes an interview with Lainie Kazan, who relates a story about her days as understudy to Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl. Hugh Jackman and his former standby, John Hill (now in Off-Broadway's Bare), are also both featured as well as current Rent star and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

"CBS Sunday Morning" airs in the metropolitan area on CBS-TV Channel 2, 9-10:30 AM ET; check local listings.
