Last week Playbill.com launched Celeb PlayBlogger — a new feature that will run sporadically in PlayBlog — with celebrity blogger Tony winner Victoria Clark. This week we're happy to welcome guest celebrity blogger Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia, who is best for his acclaimed performances in Avenue Q and Shrek the Musical. The Emmy-nominated performer is also the creator of Imaginocean, a new family musical adventure that will begin performances at New World Stages March 17. Tartaglia will blog all week; his first entry follows:

What an unbelievable experience this show has been so far!!

One week ago we started rehearsals, and it's been brilliant. Imaginocean is about three fish friends and their underwater adventures and is performed completely in black-light to give it that oceanic, free-floating feel. The Puppet Kitchen brought the puppets to life, William Wade wrote spectacular music and lyrics, and Robert Kovach designed a world for the show to live in. The effect is truly magical. We've hired eight amazing puppeteers, and they are bringing these characters to life in such a beautiful way. I'm really proud.

We've also been having a ton of fun. Donna Drake, our director, is not only inspiring to work with, but hilarious- it's such a rare treat to work with someone who can keep us moving and get the work done, but also allow us to all get where we need to go with unadulterated glee!

We start previews a week from this Wednesday - I really believe people are gonna go wild - it's unlike anything people have seen before. As our opening number says: "On our way, we're on our way!"
