Performances will begin June 28 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (currently home to Kinky Boots) before an official opening July 25. Alex Timbers directs a cast that also includes Danny Burstein, Sahr Ngaujah, Tam Mutu, Ricky Rojas, and Robyn Hurder.

The musical, featuring a book by John Logan, incorporates original songs and pop standards heard in the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film, as well as familiar tunes released in the 17 years since the star-crossed lovers first hit the screen.
