The 2nd Annual Celebration of First Time Voters will be held at the Acorn Theatre at 7 PM; proceeds will benefit Epic's After-School Bridge Series. The one-night-only event will feature such contributing artists as Ariel Dorfman, Daniel Sunjata, Shawn Elliott, Melissa Friedman and Nilaja Sun. An evening of new words and performances, the benefit will honor local high school students who will vote for the first time in the upcoming election.
Now in its fifth year developing and producing plays by socially minded writers, Epic Theatre Center has presented Hannah & Martin, Time & The Conways, Habitat, Little Eyolf, A Breath Short of Breathing and Pieces of the Throne.
