News Celia Imrie, Janie Dee and Robert Glenister Star in Noises Off, Opening Dec. 13 at London's Old Vic Jonathan Coy, Janie Dee, Robert Glenister, Jamie Glover, Celia Imrie, Karl Johnson, Aisling Loftus, Amy Nuttall and Paul Ready star in the Old Vic's new production of Michael Frayn's classic backstage comedy Noises Off, which officially opens Dec. 13, following previews that began Dec. 3, for a run through Feb. 25, 2012.

The cast of Noises Off

In this play-within-a-play, Jonathan Coy plays Frederick Fellowes, who plays Phillip Bent and the Sheikh. He most recently played Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate.

Janie Dee plays Belinda Blair, who plays Flavia Bent. She was most recently seen in All's Well That Ends Well at Shakespeare's Globe. She has won Oliviers for Carousel and Comic Potential, reprising her performance in the latter play subsequently at New York's Manhattan Theatre Club.

Robert Glenister plays Lloyd Dallas, the director of the play-within-the-play Nothing On. Best known for starring in TV's "Hustle" and "Spooks," he has appeared with the RSC and Natioanl Theatre, where he was last seen in Never So Good.

Jamie Glover plays Roger Tramplemain, who plays Roger. He has been seen on TV in "Waterloo Road," and recent stage credits include The Chalk Garden at the Donmar Warehouse and Henry V for Propeller touring company.

Celia Imrie plays Dotty Otley, who plays Mrs. Clackett, the Bent’s housekeeper. On TV she has been seen in "Acorn Antiques," "Dinner Ladies" and "Absolutely Fabulous." Stage credits include Hay Fever at the Rose Theatre, Kingston and Acorn Antiques - the Musical at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Karl Johnson plays Selsdon Mowbray, who plays the Burglar. He was most recently seen onstage in the National's Frankenstein and The Seafarer.

Aisling Loftus plays assistant stage manager Poppy Norton-Taylor. TV credits include "Dive," and her stage credits include Spur of the Moment at the Royal Court.

Amy Nuttall plays Brooke Ashton, who plays Vicki. TV credits include "Downtown Abbey," "Hotel Babylon" and "Emmerdale." Recent stage credits include A Streetcar Named Desire and The Hired Man at Bolton's Octagon Theatre. She has also appeared in the West End in Guys and Dolls, Boeing-Boeing and Cabaret.

Paul Ready plays Tim Allgood, the stage manager who understudies Selsdon and Frederick. He has appeared regularly at the National, including Time and the Conways, Major Barbara and London Assurance, and in Wastwater at the Royal Court.

The production is directed by Lindsay Posner, designed by Peter McKintosh, with lighting by Paul Pyant, sound by Fergus O'Hare and casting by Maggie Lunn.
