Angels in America's Kathleen Chalfant and Maggie Gyllenhaal, star of the current film "Secretary," will take part in a one-night-only reading of The Ruby Sunrise on Monday, Nov. 11.
Rinne Goff's play, set in 1927 rural Indiana, concerns a teenaged girl — Ruby — who hopes to invent television; years later, Ruby's granddaughter tries to keep her story and dream alive. Others in the cast include Proof's Ben Shenkman, "Once and Again" actress Marin Hinkle as well as Noah Bean and Pauline Boyd.
