Classic Arts News Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Gala to Feature Directors Wu Han and David Finckel The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's opening-night gala on September 15 will feature performances by its new artistic directors, pianist Wu Han and cellist David Finckel, CMS announced.
Also slated to perform at Alice Tully Hall are soprano Dina Kuznetsova, violinist Cho-Liang Lin, and pianist Emanuel Ax, among others. The program, titled "Eastern European Classics and Gypsy Song," includes music by Dvoršk, Bart‹k, George Boulanger, and Smetena.

Wu Han and Finckel, cellist of the Emerson String Quartet, are married and are frequent chamber music partners. They are also founders of the Music@Menlo festival in Silicon Valley, California.

The gala will honor Martin E. Segal, chairman emeritus of Lincoln Center. Tickets for the concert are $28-$65 and are available through the CMS ticketing office at 212-875-5788.
