Theater Ten Thousand brings to New York City a touching tale of an American couple when they premiere Patti Chambers' Honey & Boyd The production will play at downtown's Present Company Theatorium, Jan. 7-30.

They are your average couple... well, for southern New Jersey, at least. He's a blue collar mechanic, she's a suburbanite with an enhanced but burdensome bosom and the standard short skirt and high heels. And they live an average life, until the day their car breaks down. The concoction of strangers they soon encounter - such as a rookie state trooper and an escaped convict - turn their lives into a absurd montage full of Opera Buffa Patter songs and Fred-and-Ginger-like dances.

Arnold Barkus directs the couple journey with a cast that includes Ronald Guttman, Kevin Nagle, Brian Scolaro, and Chambers herself. Set design is handled by Ellen McDonald and costumes are provided by Gabrielle Hamill.

Performances run at the Theatorium which is located at 196 Stanton St. (between attorney and Ridge St.). For reservations or information, call (212) 420-8877.
