Chanticleer, the beloved male-voice choir that was recently named 2008 Ensemble of the Year by Musical America, will make a special appearance at J&R Music and Computer World in lower Manhattan at 1:30 p.m. next Monday, December 3. The event is free and open to the public.

The group will perform selections of holiday music from its new Christmas CD, "Let It Snow," and will autograph copies of the disc.

Last week the ensemble embarked on its annual holiday tour of the U.S., performing this year's version of its "A Chanticleer Christmas" program. The whirlwind began on the day after Thanksgiving in Palm Desert, California and continues with a total of 30 concerts and private events, winding up with a hometown performance in San Francisco on December 23.

Six of those concerts will be in New York City, in front of the famous Neapolitan crche and Christmas tree at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. For information on the tour and the group generally, visit www.chanticleer.org.
