News Charl Brown, Lauren Molina and Andrew Lippa Join Lineup for Broadway Stands Up for Freedom Benefit Charl Brown (Motown), Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages) and composer Andrew Lippa (Big Fish) are among the latest artists to join the July 22 benefit concert Broadway Stands Up for Freedom at the Skirball Center.

Susan Blackwell ([title of show], Volleygirls) will host the 7:30 PM concert, which has musical direction by Georgia Stitt ("This Ordinary Thursday"). Daniel Goldstein (Godspell) will direct the event.

Also newly announced are Juliane Godfrey, Julia Knitel, Gerianne Perez, Allison Jill Posner, Dana Steingold and Allison Strong. 

They join the previously reported Tony Award nominee Rory O'Malley (The Book of Mormon), Shaina Taub (Natasha & Pierre & The Great Comet of 1912), Georgi James (Annie), Todd Buonopane ("30 Rock"), Grace Capeless (Godspell), Randy Graff (City of Angels), Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change), Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia!), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher), Kate Baldwin (Big Fish), Anthony Rapp (Rent), Julie Halston (Anything Goes), Nellie McKay (Old Hats), Lisa Kron (Well), Zachary Prince (Baby, It's You), Liana Stampur and Clinton Curtis.

All proceeds benefit the NYCLU's youth programming, including work for LGBT teenagers; the Teen Health Initiative, which educates teenagers on their rights to access health care in New York City; and its work to stop overly aggressive policing and military recruiting in the city’s public schools.
