Actor/director/master acting teacher Charles Nelson Reilly is spending the holidays in Boca Raton, FL, directing the Caldwell Theatre Company's production of Frank D. Gilroy's Pulitzer-prize winning The Subject Was Roses, about family communication running Dec. 29-Feb. 9.
The Tony Award-winner has appeared on many New York stages, in TV and film, and directed several shows including The Nerd on Broadway. During his stay at the Caldwell, he will receive the Caldwell Theatre Guild's "Spotlight Award" Jan. 6, as well as direct the second play of Caldwell's PlaySearch Series, Joanna's Husband and David's Wife.
Following his Boca stint, Reilly is expected back on Broadway, to direct his long time collaborator Julie Harris, and Charles Durning, in D.L. Colburn's The Gin Game.
