Brandon Thomas' turn-of-the-century comedy Charley's Aunt will be revived Sat. Aug. 28 by L.A.'s Theatricum Botanicum at its outdoor amphitheatre. The show, the last of TB's summer season, will have one preview, Aug. 27, and run through Oct. 17.

Audience members are invited to arrive at 3 PM on Sat. Sept 11 for an informal discussion about the play, playwright and the production with director Ellen Geer and performers as part of TB's Prologue Series. In addition, four special performances of Charley's Aunt are paired with TB's own American Stories: A Concert Performance Series. These musical afternoons comprise an "Americana Quartet," bringing history to life for students, educators and audiences of all ages.

The cast for Charley's Aunt features Justin Doran as the irrepressible Lord Fancourt Babberly, a friend indeed who's only too willing to put on a skirt and help out his school chums at Oxford, Jack Chesney (Aaron Hendry) and Charley Wykeham (Gerritt VanderMeer), when they need a chaperon to enjoy lunch with their girlfriends.

Also in the cast are Willow Geer-Alsop, Inara George, Alan Blumenfeld, Susan Angelo, Megan Geer-Alsop, Sheridan Crist and Robert Bresnik. Blumenfeld also serves as assistant director.
