Charlie Lavender - A Bankside Boy is the seasonal offering that opens at the Southwark Playhouse Dec. 11.
Based on a true story, it tells of the determined efforts of a London lad to break into Buckingham Palace so that he can get to meet Queen Victoria.
Our present Queen has already had a scare - back in the early 1980s - when a man broke into her bedroom at Buckingham Palace, so hopefully no one in the audience will feel encouraged to emulate Charlie Lavender's exploits.
