News Chatterbox Host Rudetsky Stars in New Deconstructing Series Seth Rudetsky, the author and star of Rhapsody in Seth, will appear in a new series at the Ars Nova Theatre.

Entitled Deconstructing with Seth Rudetsky, the series will play the second Monday of each month at the theatre on West 54th Street. The first installment, Deconstructing with Seth Rudetsky: The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, will feature the comedic actor analyzing the not so-classic variety program based on the hit seventies series. According to production notes, Rudetsky "ponders the crazy vibrato on the gal who replaced Jan, revels on the bedazzling work on Ann B. Davis’ pantsuit and wonders why Florence Henderson insists on going into head voice on the climax of every song." The show will also feature video clips of the television show with running commentary and "hilariously harsh judgments by Seth." Upcoming programs in the series will include Deconstructing with Seth Rudetsky: Barbra Streisand and Deconstructing with Seth Rudetsky: Pageants.

Creator and host of Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, Seth Rudetsky has served as a pit pianist and/or conductor for such Broadway shows as 42nd Street, The Full Monty, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and The Producers. He also conceived the idea for the recent all-star Chess concert to benefit the Actors' Fund of America as well as the two previous benefit concerts, Funny Girl and Dreamgirls. Rudetsky was a member of the comedy writing team for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" for two years, and his awards include the Duplex's Stars of Tomorrow, the Backstage Bistro and the Funniest Gay Male in New York. He was also the author and star of the recent one man, GLAAD-nominated show Rhapsody in Seth.

The Ars Nova Theatre is located at 511 West 54th Street. Tickets for the 9:30 PM show are priced at $12 and are available by calling (212) 868 4444 or by visiting www.smarttix.com. Doors open at 9 PM.
