Video Check Out John Lithgow in Stories by Heart on Broadway Take a look at the two-time Tony winner and Oscar nominee in his personal solo show, now playing the American Airlines Theatre.

Following engagements across the country, John Lithgow is back on Broadway in his own solo show, John Lithgow: Stories by Heart. Take a look at the intimate monologue play, now playing Roundabout Theatre Company's American Airlines Theatre, in the video above.

In Stories by Heart, two-time Tony winner and Oscar nominee Lithgow traces his roots as an actor and storyteller, working classic short stories by P. G. Wodehouse and Ring Lardner—read to him as a child—into his own narrative. The show began performances December 21 and will officially open January 11.

The Broadway premiere of John Lithgow: Stories by Heart marks the culmination of the play’s development over several years. The evening of storytelling was first presented at Lincoln Center Theater in 2008 with direction by Jack O’Brien before heading to theatres across the country whenever the actor’s schedule could allow.

Daniel Sullivan directs the limited Broadway engagement, set to continue through March 4. See more highlights from the production below:
