Cheers Live on Stage, a comedy adapted from the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning classic hit TV series, will play Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse in September, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The long-running Cheers was ranked one of TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, airing for 11 seasons between 1982 and 1993. The popular series was set in an iconic Boston neighborhood bar. According to The Road Company, the stage show revives the regular characters of Carla, Coach, Cliff, Norm, Sam “Mayday” Malone and Diane “Buzzkill” Chambers.

The touring show is licensed by CBS and produced by Stageworks Media and Troika Entertainment. Casting has yet to be announced. Performances are scheduled to run from September 20-October 23.
