The vocal performance workshops will be held Oct. 17-18 from 1-5 PM at the Pearl Studios in Manhattan. Actors and singers of all levels of training and experience are welcome.

Students will have the opportunity to work individually with Kuhn on songs of their own choosing. The focus of the class will be on "interpretation and presentation with an emphasis on exploration and personalization of lyrics."

A three-time Tony Award nominee for her work in She Loves Me, Les Miserables and Chess, Judy Kuhn also starred in the concert mounting of Alan Menken and Tim Rice's King David and the Los Angeles premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard. Kuhn received an Obie Award for her work in the Off-Broadway Laura Nyro tribute, Eli's Comin', and played Fosca in the Kennedy Center mounting of Stephen Sondheim's Passion. Her solo recording is titled "Serious Playground - The Songs of Laura Nyro" (Ghostlight Records).

Kuhn has also taught workshops for many years at The Michael Howard Studios and has held master classes at NYU/CAP 21, Rider University, Catholic University as well as many schools and theatres around the country.

The next class in the Series will be held in December.

Pearl Studios is located at 519 8th Ave. The fee for participants is $275 (with a $25 discount for those who register by Oct. 1). Students who wish to audit the class can do so for $25 per day.
