Jeff Award-nominated Drury Lane artistic director William Osetek directs the Broadway classic that officially opens Jan. 26 for a run through April 1. Gypsy has a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
In addition to Blackhurst, the cast also features Jeff Award winner Andrea Prestinario as Louise, David Kortemeier as Herbie, Andrea Collier as June and Matthew Crowle as Tulsa.
Gypsy also includes Francis Asher as Electra, Cheryl Avery as Mazeppa, Susan Lubeck as Tessie Tura, Jeff Award-winner John Reeger as Pop, Zach Gray as Angie, Peter Kevoian as Goldstone, Emily Leahy as Baby June, Susan Lubeck as Tessie Tura, Andy Lupp as Weber, Kayla Rea as Balloon Girl, Holly Stauder as Mrs. Crachett, Hannah Whitlock as Baby Louise and Jarrod Zimmerman as Jocko.
The ensemble features Jenny Guse, Katie Huff, Amanda Kroiss, Cara Salerno, John Babbo, Kyle Halford and Matt Rice.
Gypsy has choreography by Jeff Award winner Tammy Mader, music direction by Jeff Award winner Roberta Ducha, scenic design by Martin Andrew, lighting design by Jeff winner Jesse Klug, costume design by Melissa Torchia, sound design by Sarah Pickett and wig design by Rick Jarvie.
