The 2016 Chicago Fringe Festival, which will feature 50 groups in about 200 performances that were selected by a lottery system, begins August 31. The festival runs through September 11.
Half of the shows are from the Chicago-land area, and the other half are from across the nation and the world, and all shows are uncensored (although Kids Fringe shows and activities are guaranteed to be appropriate for kids 12 and under). Shows at the Chicago Fringe Festival run between 45-60 minutes. Kids Fringe shows run between 30-50 minutes.
