The work will be performed February 15-19 on a double bill with Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, with mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer as Dido. Lillian Groag is the director; scenery is by John Conklin. Leppard will conduct.
Nixon in China, which closes the season May 17-21, will feature Robert Orth, who has sung the title role in productions around the country. Alexander Platt conducts; James Robinson is the director.
Also on the schedule is Mozart's Abduction From the Seraglio, conducted by Jane Glover, the music director of Chicago's Music of the Baroque. Justin Way directs. The production runs May 3-7.
