News Chicago Shakes Presents As You Like It, Jan. 13-March 9 Rosalind, Orlando, Jacques and the gang will spend a chilly, windy time in the Arden Forest as the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre present the Bard's comedy As You Like It in their Navy Pier theatre from Jan. 8 to March 9, officially opening Jan. 13. Rosalind, Orlando, Jacques and the gang will spend a chilly, windy time in the Arden Forest as the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre present the Bard's comedy As You Like It in their Navy Pier theatre from Jan. 8 to March 9, officially opening Jan. 13. CST favorite David H. Bell will stage the piece.

Bell previously brought The Comedy of Errors andMuch Ado About Nothing to life at CST but has never worked at the company's new Navy Pier space until now.

Elizabeth Laidlaw will play the plum role of Rosalind, who, in order to fetch the heart of romantically confused Orlando, dresses up as the devoted boy Ganymede. Timothy Gregory is Orlando, who flees to the forest to escape treason at court. His fellow refugees include Patrick Clear as Duke Senior, Greg Vinkler as Jaques, Kate Fry as Celia and Saxon Palmer as Touchstone.

The final production of the 2001-02 season will be The Tempest. CST artistic director Barbara Gaines will direct. Dates are March 29-June 9, 2002.
