PlayBlog Chicago Star Kara DioGuardi Will Meet-and-Greet Fans in Support of Her Favorite Charities The Tony Award-winning musical Chicago and Givenik.com will present a special performance and post-show reception to benefit the favorite charities of leading lady Kara DioGuardi Oct. 11 at the Ambassador Theatre, with a meet-and-greet at E&E Grill.


DioGuardi will show her support for Phoenix House, Columbus Citizens Foundation, Malaria No More, and Sister Domingas and Friends Foundation.

“I am so thrilled that the producers of Chicago and Givenik.com are so willing to lend a hand and give support to those in need,” said DioGuardi in a statement. “When they first approached me with this idea, I immediately fell in love with it. To have the opportunity to give back is something we should all be thankful for, and I’m looking forward to Tuesday night!”

Audience members can purchase tickets to the performance via Givenik.com. A portion of the ticket sale will be donated to the charity of the buyer's choice. The first 40 people who purchase full-priced tickets will gain admission to the special post-show reception and meet-and-greet with DioGuardi at E&E Grill House, located next door to the Ambassador Theatre. The full-price ticket stub must be shown at the door to gain entry to the reception.

Currently making her Broadway stage debut in the role of Roxie Hart, DioGuardi was introduced to America on seasons 9 and 10 of the hit Fox show “American Idol.” She is an active supporter of Phoenix House, one of the nation's leading non-profits dedicated to leading individuals, families and communities affected by addiction from disrupted to productive lives.
