Tiknis is a former executive director for the Honolulu Symphony, and has worked as an administrator at orchestras across the U.S., including the San Diego Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the San Antonio Symphony. He will begin his post at the Harris Theater on October 15.
The $53 million Harris Theater opened last year and is home to Chicago Sinfonietta, Ballet Chicago, Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Opera Theater, Hubbard Street Dance, Music of the Baroque, and the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum.
