Irish playwright Conor McPherson is currently being represented on two Chicago stages. The most high profile outing is the ongoing Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of The Weir. But, McPherson fans can get another dose of the dramatist's artistry at the Breadline Theatre. There, Northside Production is presenting the dramatist's The Good Thief through Jan. 28. The run began on Jan. 7. As with McPherson's Dublin Carol and St. Nicholas, The Good Thief is a one-man play, about a thug who expresses remorse over a crime gone awry. Joseph Bowen is the thief in question. Lila M. Stromer directs.
Tickets are $15. The Breadline is located at 1802 W. Berenice St. For more information, call (773) 588-2446.
