CHICAGO--Female Problems: An Unhelpful Guide, a world premiere from Pegasus Players, is a new offering from the creators of 1991's hit musical Sylvia's Real Good Advice-- the very hip writer/cartoonist Nicole Hollander and popular lyricist Cheri Coons. Opening May 6, with lyrics by Coons and songs by a team of four composers, the musical examines what it means to be a woman near the end of the 20th century, offering "new perspectives on old obsessions." The very busy David Bell (who just staged Shakespeare Repertory's A Comedy of Errors) directs and choreographs and Michael Duff shapes the music. For information call 773-248-7680.
