The Outreach Program of Chicago's irreverent sketch and improvisation troupe Second City, has named the latest edition of its revue, "Everyone's Coming Out, Rosie!" All the sketches are on gay and lesbian themes, as was the company's "Whitney Houston, We Have A Problem!" last year.
Starring are Kathy Bianchi, John Bonny, Mary Beth Burns, Andy Eninger, Kristen Entwitle, Judy Fabjance, Ed Garza, Rick Morrissey and Sean Murphy. Michael Thomas serves as musical director.
The show's title puns on both the song "Everything's Coming Up Roses" from the Broadway musical Gypsy, and on talk show (and Tony Awards) hostess Rosie O'Donnell.
For tickets ($10) and information on "Everyone's Coming Out, Rosie!," starting previews May 29 for a June 12 opening, call (312) 337-3992. The show plays in Donny's Skybox Studio Theatre on North Wells St. in Piper's Alley.
