Chicago's Sweat Girls have again extended their look at motherhood, The Motherlode, this time until Aug. 14. The show, which began June 11, was to close on July 17 at the Lifeline Theater and then extended July 31. Lifeline Artistic Director and Sweat Girl Dorothy Milne directs.

In a night of interviews with their mothers and shared experiences, the Sweat Girls will explore the relationship between mothers and daughters. The Girls began work on Motherlode in 1996.

This show is the 11th collaboration for the Girls, who came together in 1993 with their first show, I'm Sweating Under My Breasts, which opened at the Annoyance Theater. Aside from performing several shows in Chicago, they have also appeared at San Francisco's Working Women's Festival in 1996 and at the 1998 New York International Fringe Festival.

The Sweat Girls are Jane Blass, Cindy Hanson, Milne, Clare Nolan-Long, Martie Sanders, Jenifer Tyler and Pamela Webster. Featured as the Sweat Moms are Sue Blass, Betty Hanson, Shirley Milne, Carol Nolan, Carolyn Sanders, Marilyn Tyler and Sandy Webster.
