Chick Flick the Musical, a new musical comedy celebrating female friendship, begins performances February 23 at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre. The show features book, music, and lyrics by Suzy Conn and follows four friends who get together to unwind, watch a movie, and play their favorite drinking game.

The four best friends at the heart of Chick Flick are played by Sharon Catherine Brown (Dreamgirls, Joseph...), Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Lysistrata Jones, Legally Blonde), Carla Duren (Hairspray, 110 In The Shade), and Megan Sikora (Holiday Inn, Clueless). The musical is directed by David Ruttura, with choreography by Sarah O'Gleby.

As the festivities proceed and the tequila flows, can the power of meet-cutes and makeover montages save the day as relationship drama and career crises bubble to the surface?

Chick Flick is presented by Broadway Venture Capital Fund, and executive producers are Richard Frankel and Joe Watson. Jillian Louis (It Shoulda Been You, Soul Doctor) and Madison Stratton (Brigadoon, Baby) are the show's standbys.

The Off-Broadway production features scenic design by Jason Sherwood, costume design by Suzy Benzinger, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald, and hair, wig, and make-up design by Campbell Young Associates. Music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations are by Frank Galgano and Matt Castle, and casting is by Jay Binder, CSA and Mark Brandon, CSA of Binder Casting.
